About: This stately landmark, built by whaling captains in 1843, is considered to be one of the finest examples of Greek Revival architecture in New England. It serves as an ideal location for wedding ceremonies, performances and meetings. Located next door to the Dr. Daniel Fisher House, the Old Whaling Church can accommodate as many as 500 guests for a wedding ceremony. The Baylies Room located on the lower floor, provides a spacious setting for a reception, party or meeting for as many as 150 guests.
